A couple of days ago, my number came up. The story is in second edits and getting closer AND our awesome cover artist Jennifer Stevens basically told me she had an idea of the cover. I knew what she showed me was going to be good. And it was. At first, I didn’t quite get the picture because I know Edith and Edward as they were when I wrote about them. But when I looked at the picture I realized something; Jennifer managed to capture Edith and Edward at the very beginning of their story, long before I met them. That was when the cover started to make more sense and I was floored.
Then she shocked me by showing me the print cover in all its glory…in TWO versions. And made me choose. Now, I expected to say, this, that or the other. Fine. But for me to have to choose between two covers that matched the story so perfectly was torture. I didn’t want to. But I had to. We went back and forth a little but I was totally excited about that cover as well. Basically, I’m just all happy and gushy right now, it’s kinda frightening. So, believe me when I say, you will love this cover even though you haven’t read the book AND you will be BLOWN AWAY when you see the full print cover. It’s a really excellent pairing and, like I said, I’m all gushy and happy and dancy, etc…yes, “dancy” is a word because I just made it one.
Without further ado, I present the cover of Baxter Family Saga 3: Story of Us
