My Reading of Unchained Hearts on Journal Jabber & More!

Last Updated on March 10, 2014 by Palessa

So I was fighting a bit of a cold (I suspect it was strep as well) and felt like my voice was going AND I knew I had a podcast interview. There was no way I was going to lose my voice. So I sucked down some grated ginger water daily and spoke less than normal, which is hard for me even when I’m alone with the dog. Seriously, if you’re sick in any way, ginger is the BEST thing you can have. It’s a natural antimicrobial and helps with pain relief. Some people can’t take it but I grew up with it and love it! Between that and some vitamin C, I was not about to get sicker.

My voice is better; not quite 100% but it’s headed in the right direction and today was my journal Jabber interview. It was a lot of fun as I had to do a reading from Unchained Hearts! I had never done anything like that and had to find a passage that wasn’t going to give away too much and I did it. I felt like I flubbed it a bit but overall, I was good with it.

The entire interview was just GREAT and I look forward to possibly being invited again to promote Portrait of Gray (I got the first edits back and it’s not as “red” as I thought it would be.) So here’s my blog post on Jealousy with  cutting room floor scene between Soraya and Randy: http://dandilyonfluff.com/2014/03/palessa-bad-girl-staking-her-claim/

The interesting part is that she asked me about marketing advice. I’m still relatively new to the book promotion game but with a background that deals with marketing, I am trying to integrate that here so I have a lot to say about that.
