Talk about a blast from the past! I’ve mentioned that I have been writin stories since I will an angst-ridden tween of 11.
This is one of my old stories. When I say OLD, I think I was about 14/15 when I wrote it. 😱😱
I loved the story but as I read this, I realized just how young I was…Firstly, this is in first person, which is a POV I moved from, for the most part. I don’t rule out returning to it but I’m more comfortable with 3PO. Secondly, this is a paranormal/supernatural mystery story, or at least I wanted it to be. This is a genre I started with as I had loved the otherworldly spiritual tinge. It fascinated me and still does. I will return to it. It’s in the cards. Thirdly, it’s really short and holey 😂 I was young in many ways and was trying to figure out how to bring the idea out more fully. It shows me just how much I’ve matured in many ways because back then I would get so frustrated with myself that I would destroy the story or revise it to death until I put it away. I destroyed many stories but because I really liked this one, I decided on a form of “literary cryogenics” with the hopes I would find my way back to and through it.
It’s Time!
I have decided to resurrect it. I’m working on bringing it into 2017 and as a Tap Chat story. It will be a challenge but I think it’s the right time and the right platform.
